Mahe is the largest of the islands and is home to the smallest capital city in the world, Victoria. Here you will find one of the only mosques in the Seychelles, the cathedral and the local fish market. The island is also home to the Sainte Anne Marine National Park. The areas of Beau Valon is perfect for Muslim families with younger children as the waters are calm. A 20-minute flight or a 90-minute ferry takes you to Praslin, the second largest island and home to some of the most scenic coastlines. Here you’ll find the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, where you’ll find the Coco de Mer. Praslin is ideal if you’re looking to explore the islands of La Digue, where you can spend an afternoon cycling, or Carieuse Island, home to the Giant Aldabra Tortoises. For the snorkelers, dive off a boat at Peter Island with its crystal clear waters or head to UNESCO heritage site of Ile de Cocos.
For Muslim travellers, the Seychelles can be limiting when it comes to halal cuisine. The country predominately follows the Christian faith, however, our selection of resorts all provide halal dining options when booked through this site. Outside of the hotels, seafood and vegetarian options are available, so if you’re heading on an excursion, make sure you add a request with our support team.
