The emirate is not short of things to do and places to stay. Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais is the highest mountain in the UAE and home to the world’s longest zip line. Thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies can travel at speeds of up to 120kph to 150kph at a height of 1,680 metres above sea level on top of Jebel Jais mountain.
With over 60 kilometres of calm, crystal clear coastline and ideal water temperatures all year round, it’s no surprise that Ras Al Khaimah is a hotspot for Fareed water sports; take your pick from scuba diving, jet skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, flyboarding and more. Alternatively, set your lures and reel in the catch of your life on a deep sea fishing trip along the sapphire waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Staying true to its culture and heritage, Ras Al Khaimah will take you on a spiritual journey of faith and architecture through its unique mosques around the emirate. Sheikh Zayed Mosque is one of the most recognisable buildings in Ras al-Khaimah. It is a common point of reference. It is on the old Al Qawasim Corniche road in the Dafan Al Khor neighbourhood. Archaeological excavation and restoration work finally came to an end on the Mohammad Bin Salem Mosque. During the renovation work, modern additions were removed from the inside and outside.
Ras Al Khaimah’s cuisine is known for its delicious dishes and recipes passed from one generation to another. Being seafarers and merchants for centuries, the local people brought exotic plants, spices and recipes from all over the world. Therefore, traces of Indian, Egyptian, Iranian and Turkish influences can also be found in local dishes. Halal food is available in all dining outlets and would recommend sampling local dishes for an authentic experience.
