Discover - Halal friendly Seychelles

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is a collection of beautiful islands designed to make Muslim travellers fall in love with nature. The turquoise blue waters are absolutely mesmerising, combined with white sandy beaches and gorgeous rainforests. If you’re looking for a halal friendly honeymoon or a family hideaway then the Seychelles may be just for you.

Arriving into Mahe, the largest of the three main islands you’ll be met with a warm creole welcome. The natural beauty of the Seychelles stretches across the neighbouring islands of Praslin, La Digue and smaller islands like Carieuse and Silhouette. Anse Lazio on the island of Praslin is known as one of the most stunning beaches in the Seychelles, but thankfully there are many quiet enclaves with soft sandy beaches, perfect for Muslim honeymooners. French Creole plays a large part in the culture of Seychelles, and you’ll find plenty of hints in their cuisine. Halal dining at our selection of halal friendly resorts and hotels means you can sample the local delicacies, with fresh local seafood some of the best you’ll find.

Highlights

Mahe is the largest of the islands and is home to the smallest capital city in the world, Victoria. Here you will find one of the only mosques in the Seychelles, the cathedral and the local fish market. The island is also home to the Sainte Anne Marine National Park. The areas of Beau Valon is perfect for Muslim families with younger children as the waters are calm. A 20-minute flight or a 90-minute ferry takes you to Praslin, the second largest island and home to some of the most scenic coastlines. Here you’ll find the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, where you’ll find the Coco de Mer. Praslin is ideal if you’re looking to explore the islands of La Digue, where you can spend an afternoon cycling, or Carieuse Island, home to the Giant Aldabra Tortoises. For the snorkelers, dive off a boat at Peter Island with its crystal clear waters or head to UNESCO heritage site of Ile de Cocos.

Muslim Friendly Amenities

For Muslim travellers, the Seychelles can be limiting when it comes to halal cuisine. The country predominately follows the Christian faith, however, our selection of resorts all provide halal dining options when booked through this site. Outside of the hotels, seafood and vegetarian options are available, so if you’re heading on an excursion, make sure you add a request with our support team.

Our selection of resorts is ideal for Muslim honeymooners simply because privacy is an ever-present benefit. The Banyan Tree Mahe resort provides private pool villas overlooking Intendance Bay, and the Six Senses Zil Pasyon on the secluded Felicite Island is simply stunning. For Muslim families, the H Resort at Beau Vallon provides generously sized rooms as well as being a family friendly resort. You have several choices to get to the Seychelles with Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways all flying into Mahe and providing halal meals on board as standard.
